We know how much it means to every student involved in our workshops to play a significant part in a film that they have produced. We would like to celebrate their achievements by ending the year with a celebration, highlighting the work they've achieved throughout the year. Our AR Studios film festival will launch in 2026 at Leatherhead theatre. Tickets and more information will be available soon.

LEATHERHEAD THEATRE
HOST OF THE FIRST AR STUDIOS FILM FESTIVAL
Leatherhead Theatre, a Grade II listed venue in Surrey, is set to host the inaugural AR Studios Film Festival, marking a significant milestone in youth-led cinema. Originally opened in 1969 as the Thorndike Theatre, the venue was designed by architect Roderick Ham within the shell of the 1930s Crescent Cinema. It features a 495-seat auditorium with space for three wheelchairs, a proscenium arch stage, and comprehensive technical facilities, including advanced lighting and sound systems. The theatre also offers additional spaces such as a black box studio, mezzanine bar, and meeting rooms, making it well-suited for diverse events . The AR Studios Film Festival will showcase films created by students, providing them with a platform to present their work in a professional setting . This collaboration underscores Leatherhead Theatre's commitment to nurturing emerging talent and fostering community engagement through the arts whilst celebrating our tutors, crew, sponsors and partners.
